I thought some of you might be interested in trying this site. It gives you lessons on using the internet. There are eight separate lessons, and each lesson has three main parts (and a game!) so take it slowly and don't try to do all the lessons at once! Just click on this link: bbc.co.uk/webwise and enjoy learning about the internet and the web online! I think you will find the instructions are clear - and you will learn a lot of important vocabulary, too. I'll look forward to hearing what you think of it - and if you have any problems, we can talk about them together.
Good luck,
Jane.

Hi everyone!
The last session was really exciting! I don't think I have ever seen people getting the answers off the internet so quickly! Well done to all of you who entered the competition, and especially to Papaito, who, as you can see by the placing of his entry, was "first past the post."
That saying comes from horse-racing (and last Friday was a bit like a horse race!)
I hope you all have a good holiday.I am looking forward to getting your news on the blogspot.

Hi everyone!
It's good to see so much published - and congratulations to Papaito - I think you've written more than anyone else AND you've got the answer to Amid's question right!
(What are you going to give as the prize, Amid?)
I've got a question for all of you - and it's one you can all answer - use the internet for help if you like! The first correct answer posted here wins a prize!
What is the name of the actor who played "The Tracker?"
AND what was the name of his first film?

Today I have been reading The Age on Friday September 13 2002

The UN is warning Bush: "Do not attack Iraq alone."
I think this is a very good idea because the UN could bring peace to the world.

I agree, Papaito. Some people don't like to think about this - but we are using computers more and more - for everything. We need to get used to it, and it's fun, too.

It's great to get on to our page, and see so many of your names! Borislav, this is a great way to begin using the internet - and once you have your own internet address, you can go into the library, and do as much as you want. Why aren't you coming in on Friday, Papaito? Are you having a holiday this weekend?? (I wish I was!) And Nenad is tired!!
Actually I decided to take the afternoon off, and I went for a walk in Warrandyte with my daughter. Have any of you been to Warrandyte? It's very beautiful - you can walk along the river Yarra and through the bush. It used to be one of the main areas for the Aboriginal Wurrundjeri tribe to gather. Later on in Australian history, it was a gold mining town - and you can still walk through the mines.
See you on Friday,
Jane

This is from papaito. I hope all my class friends have a good weekend and I will see you on Monday. Teachers without students = no teaching. Students without teachers = no learning. Make sure - be there!

This is your chat page - all of you from L.F.!
I thought I'd set it up so that on Friday you can start chatting. It's pretty late at night so I'm going to log-off now. Speak to you Friday! Jane.
